So after a very strange wednesday that included hanging out with dad in shreveport and eating a tasty backyard burger then later hanging out with amber at applebees and then being scolded for agreeing to go there with her i then went home with the gnarliest headache ever that at one point hurt so bad i felt the need to vomit but fought it off.
Today wasn't as bad except i knew i was going to have to go to work for the first time since saturday which is always a very difficult transition to make, but once i actually got to work and worked with mike, it reminded me how comfortable i am at that place and how much i actually hate being away from it.
Today at work was great, a low amount of customers, very few stupid questions, alot of nice people, noone too retarded. A few decent purchases made, and getting to listen to The Dead Weather for a few hours!
Sure, my paycheck sucked balls, but soon my hours will be back to normal but i'll be getting paid more thanks to a raise in minimum wage from $6.50 $7.25 or something like that, which is kind of dumb i think, given today's economic situation, but totally good for people that work in crappy mall's like me, this will just be more incentive to go to work now, as if having a job i don't hate, and getting paid to listen to, sell, and talk about music and movies all day, plus getting discounts, and early stuff, and free stuff wasn't enough.
I'm gonna chalk today up in the win column, also, i just posted this big review column with 8 albums in it and BOOM! just after i finished it i found new albums by mew, modest mouse, keelhaul, band of skulls, and the used all ready for me to listen to and write my thoughts on.
I'm stoked.
I'll leave you with a tweet i posted today after a particularly close call with a red mustang on my way to work
"Note to my guardian angel: keep up the good work!"
